Summer brings more than sunshine—severe storms, flooding, and extreme heat can all impact our community. In this presentation, we’ll cover how to stay safe before, during, and after summer weather events. Learn practical tips for building an emergency kit, staying informed, and protecting your family, home, and neighborhood when severe weather strikes.

Meet the Presenter:
Courtney Arroyo is an emergency management professional with the Fairfax County Department of Emergency Management and Security. She serves as the Assistant Coordinator of Communications and Community Engagement, leading programs that help the whole community prepare for emergencies. Courtney has a background in political science and public administration, and she is passionate about helping residents build resilience before disaster strikes.
