Description:
Most of us have read about artificial intelligence (AI) and how it is changing our lives. Hearing aid and cochlear implant manufacturers have recently incorporated AI into their devices, resulting in significant benefits that could only have been imagined just a few years ago. This presentation will review what AI is, and the many ways it has been implemented in hearing devices to benefit the end user.

Meet the Presenter:
Dr. Larry Medwetsky has served as an educational audiologist, VP Clinical Services in a speech and hearing clinic, and recently retired as a Full Professor from Gallaudet University. Dr. Medwetsky has published/presented on many different topics and participated in a number of consumer organizations on behalf of individuals with hearing loss, including founding board member of the Canadian Hard of Hearing Association and professional advisor to the Hearing Loss Association of America.
