Eddie Drawdy
Originally from South Carolina, Eddie was born hearing but lost 70% of his hearing around the age of 6 or 7 to an unknown cause. Upon graduating from South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind, Eddie enrolled at Gallaudet University majoring in general business with an interest in Accounting and Information Technology. Immediately upon graduation, Eddie was hired as a computer operator within the Gallaudet data center. Over the course of 38 years, he held various positions within the computer department and finally retired in 2020 as a manager of the IT Help Desk.
With his free time from retirement, Eddie discovered NVRC and Happy Hands (a deaf senior citizen social group that uses NVRC resources). Eddie enjoys the social aspects of Happy Hands and was impressed with the mission of NVRC. This stirred his desire to become more involved with NVRC activities and to help spread the word about NVRC and its mission.
