Ben Belisle

Ben Belisle was born and raised in Virginia and graduated from W.T. Woodson High School in 2001. He attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID), majoring in Applied Computer Technology. In 2008, he moved to Seattle, WA, for better job opportunities and joined The Lighthouse for the Blind, Inc., where he worked on Boeing’s small assembly parts production. While there, he attended Seattle Central College to enhance his IT skills and earn a degree.

After six years, Ben transitioned to a role supporting Microsoft's Disability Answer Desk, assisting customers with troubleshooting and accessibility solutions. In 2017, he returned to Virginia and currently works as a Senior Technical Support Specialist at Oracle. He holds multiple certifications, including CompTIA A+, AWS Solution Architect Associate, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundation, and Oracle Data Management.

Ben also attended the Helen Keller National Center for training in braille and screen reader technologies such as JAWS and VoiceOver. He has been actively involved in DeafBlind organizations, serving as an event chairperson for fundraising efforts.
