October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) 

The USPTO (United States Patent and Trademark Office),
ResponsAbility committee, has planned two exciting events to commemorate the month.

 

AUHOR READING AND BOOK SIGNING WITH GLEN FINLAND

Author Glen Finland will read from her acclaimed memoir Next Stop about raising an autistic son. A discussion with the author and special guests, along with a book signing will follow the reading. Attendees are encouraged to purchase the book in advance to have it autographed.

Next Stop is a candid portrait of a differently-abled young man poised at the entry to adulthood. Weaving bittersweet and humorous anecdotes from David’s life as the youngest of three brothers, Next Stop recounts the complex relationship between an
autistic adult child and his family as he steps out into the real world alone for the first time.
