Whole Health Action Management – WHAM Workshop – taught in ASL starts April 9th

Health Is More than Eating your Veggies:

This workshop follows the Whole Health Action Management curriculum and
allows you to explore ways to improve your physical, emotional,
spiritual and mental health through positive life choices.

Class will be held for three weeks and taught in ASL

PAH Workshop at Circle of Support Conference – Saturday, November 8th

PAH will be providing a workshop at the Circle of Support Conference sponsored by the ARC of Greater Prince William on Saturday, November 8th.

The Circle of Support Conference is for families of those with special needs and the professionals that work with them. PAH’s presentation is titled, “A Survival Guide for Parents of Children that are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, or Deaf-Blind.” Other sessions at the conference focus on Medicaid waivers, behavioral interventions, and advocacy.

PAH Community Forum – Tuesday, May 20th from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm

Providing Access to Healthcare and Community Resources for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community

We want your feedback! Please join us on Tuesday, May 20th from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm to discuss how PAH (Providing Access to Healthcare and Community Resources for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community) can improve our services to the residents of Prince William County, Lorton and North Stafford. We also want to hear from you about what services and programs you would like to see available for individuals that are Deaf, Hard of Hearing or Deaf-Blind. ASL Interpreters will be available. If you need other accommodations please request those by May 9 to cw@pahdeaf.org. A light dinner will be provided so please RSVP to cw@pahdeaf.org so we can have enough food for everyone.

The community forum will take place at PRTC, Upstairs Conference Room, 14700 Potomac Mills Road, Woodbridge, VA 22192.  There is free parking available.

Presented in ASL by Christine Gannon; a nationally know health educator for Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
