Open caption films at the Old Greenbelt Theatre MD – Nov 29

The Old Greenbelt Theatre in Greenbelt, Md., offers open captioned films on Sunday afternoons.

Brooklyn is playing on Sunday, November 29, at 1 p.m.

Check their website and get your name on their mailing list to be informed about upcoming films.  Look for the “OC” designation for the film on Sundays.

There is also a farmer’s market next to the theatre on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 25 Crescent Road, Greenbelt, Md.

“Bridge of Spies” Open Captioned – Friday, Nov 6th

There will be an open captioned screening of “Bridge of Spies” this Friday, November 6th at 7:20 PM!
It will be at Regal Gallery Place 14 in Washington, DC.

Tickets are now available to buy online. Deaf moviegoers can go to the theater website (http://www.regmovies.com/Theatres/Theatre-Folder/Regal-Gallery-Place-Stadium-14-7719), change the date to 11/6/15, and find “Bridge of Spies” with the row showing 7:20 PM and “OC” under Amenities.

The National Association of the Deaf (NAD) takes a moment to explain the purpose of the Joint Recommendation and the Comment that was filed with the Department of Justice (DOJ) on December 1, 2014. Both filings were very important for the deaf and hard of hearing community. With such action, we know that there’s work left to be done — with your support, we can continue the fight for equality for access in Movie Theaters!
