Becoming literate is a complex task. Yet, once mastered these skills open opportunities for a lifetime of learning and enjoyment. Dr. John Luckner, Professor and Coordinator of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (teacher preparation) Program at the University of Northern Colorado, discusses strategies for encouraging language and literacy development of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
Target Audience: Teachers of the deaf/hard of hearing, general education teachers who work with students who are deaf/hh, special education directors, interpreters, and parents.
This one hour webinar can be accessed from any location. A certificate of participation will be provided for those who complete a short survey at the conclusion.
