Join WSJD’s Director of Jewish Life and Learning Kelby Brick, and his congregation for the Simchat Torah service and dancing fun at Oseh Shalom Wednesday, October 15 at 7:30 p.m. There will be a sign language interpreter at the service.

Washington Hebrew Congregation:
The Washington Hebrew Congregation invites the WSJD community to its sign-interpreted Simchat Torah Shabbat and Consecration service Friday, October 17 at 7:00 p.m.

WSJD member Suzy Rosen Singleton and her son, Rian Singleton, will participate in the service. Following the service, there will be ice cream and various nibbles at the Oneg. The service will be sign-interpreted by Paula Tucker.  The address is:

Sunday, November 2, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. at The American University, 4400 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC.Kelby Brick will be one of the many featured speakers.

Book Festival: The JCC of Greater Washington’s “The Lessans Family Annual Book Festival” will run from November 6-16 and feature more than 20 author events, book signings and children’s programs. To purchase tickets, go to www.jccgw.org. To request sign language interpreting service, call Jennifer Smith at 301-348-3778, at least one week in advance.

 Fiddler on the Roof will be captioned at the Arena Stage in Washington, DC., on Sunday, December 7 at 6:00 p.m. To attend, call Group Sales at 202-488-4380 and ask for Michael Bou-Maroun. Mention WSJD, in order to get the discounted ticket price of $ 68.00 per person, and be seated in the same section as other WSJD members.
