Camp SHARP 2013
Gallaudet’s Speech, Hearing, and Aural Rehabilitation Program
Summer Communication program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Children
At Camp SHARP, Gallaudet’s Speech, Hearing, Aural Rehabilitation Program, deaf and hard of hearing preschool children have fun while developing their spoken language and listening skills. Speech language pathologists support the campers’ spoken English skills while reinforcing sign language skills during child-centered, play-based activities. Skill areas addressed include speech, listening, expressive and receptive language, and literacy. The summer services will be offered from June 17 to August 2, 2013. Services and session availability are contingent upon the number of children enrolled.
