The ENDependence Center of Northern Virginia, a peer-run nonprofit in Arlington serving individuals with all types of disabilities, seeks a Peer Mentor to provide peer counseling, I&R, advocacy, independent living skills training, and transition services to Northern Virginia residents with disabilities. You must have the lived experience of having a disability to serve in this role. We seek a compassionate, friendly professional who is familiar with a variety of community resources. You should have an understanding of disability law, low-to-moderate income housing regulations, and knowledge of emergency assistance channels.
