The mission of Fidos for Freedom is to improve the quality of the lives of the people in the Baltimore/ Washington/ Annapolis areas through the use of its specially trained dogs. Fidos trains three types of dogs: hearing dogs for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, service dogs for people with mobility problems and therapy dogs. The presenter will be either Debbie Taylor, event coordinator for Fidos who has volunteered with Fidos for 15 years; or Carrie Nicholson, a client with her hearing dog Lily.
We have a steering committee meeting after the chapter meetings and you are invited to join us. Your talent or skill can help the chapter grow and help get the word out about the Hearing Loss Association of America.
The meeting room has an induction loop system for hearing aids or cochlear implants equipped with a telecoil.
