Who Are We?

TDI (Telecommunications for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Inc.) was established in 1968
to facilitate access to the telephone network for deaf people. Since then its mission has greatly
expanded, and it now provides leadership in achieving equal access to all forms of
telecommunications, media, and information technologies for people who are deaf, hard-ofhearing,
late-deafened, or deaf-blind. To learn more about TDI, go to www.TDIforAccess.org.

ALDA (the Association of Late-Deafened Adults) was established in 1989 to support the empowerment of late-deafened people. ALDA provides a support network to late-deafened

individuals, enabling them to share their unique experiences, challenges, and coping strategies and to help one another find practical solutions for their problems and relieve the psychological stresses resulting from their acquired hearing loss. To learn more about ALDA,
