About the handbell workshop: We are delighted to partner with the Virginia Bronze handbell ensemble to offer this event. As most hearing-impaired adult music students learn musical instruments (piano, guitar) which are often done without the experience of playing with others, this event presents an unique opportunity to learn how to play in an ensemble.
About the open mic event: Adult hearing-impaired musicians who are either learning to play music or already play music are welcome to share their talents at the open mic event. A grand piano is available.
Both events will be hearing-accessible. We are arranging for captioning and some form of assistive listening devices for both events.
Information and registration form can be found here:
Registration deadline is June 1, 2011.
